Hawaiian Wedding Apparel for
Your Maui Wedding

Hawaii wedding attire can be whatever you want it to be. The beauty of a Maui wedding is that there is no standard dress style that you must wear in Hawaii.

 

You may decide to choose formal wedding apparel, with traditional tuxedos and a white wedding dress with a flowing train. This is a great choice because nothing looks more exotic and romantic than for your Maui photography than standing on the beach in formal wear.

Maui Formal Dress Attire

If you do not bring your own formal wedding dress, you may rent or buy one here (although the choices here are certainly limited because Maui is a small island). If you already have your own formal wedding dress, you may choose to send it on ahead. We have a vendor who will press your wedding dress and have it ready for you when you arrive.

Maui Tuxedo Rentals

For men, there are several tuxedo shops to choose from here on the island with a wide variety of styles. We suggest that you go to a local tuxedo store where you live and get your measurements taken. Then we will have you will send those measurements to the closest tuxedo store where you will be staying here on Maui so that they will be able to fit you faster after you arrive.

 

If you have a specific style of tuxedo or formal wear that you want, be sure and check on that early. Not all styles are available here on Maui, but our tuxedo stores can often ship in specific styles from Honolulu -- if you ask in advance.

Casual Hawaiian Wedding Attire

Many of our couples choose the casual elegance of semi-formal wear for their Maui beach wedding. And many more choose casual Hawaiian wedding apparel. In Hawaii we call this "aloha wear", which is the traditional Hawaiian print shirts and dresses. Many our our couples choose to buy a matching dress and aloha shirt from a store like Hilo Haties which has a wide variety of Hawaiian prints.

 

Finally, we've even had brides get married in white bikinis (with frilly lace attached) or red bikinis and also wear Hawaiian sarongs (with coconut shells and kukui nut necklaces.

 

In our Hawaiian island paradise, anything is appropriate. You want to choose the Hawaiian wedding apparel style that is right for your wedding. And that's the way it should be.
