Maui Waterfall
Wedding Location
-
- Although waterfalls are popular, and there are
many of them in remote locations on Maui, the number available for
weddings is very limited. The best man-made waterfall on the island is
in front of the Grand Wailea Resort, but it is not in a position where
a wedding could be performed in front of it. So, unfortunately, the choices
are limited.
-
- Haiku Natural Waterfall
Site
-
-
This private water falls drops into a
pond overlooking the ocean. Over the years we have watched as the
owner of this site has dramatically expanded it to become acceptable
for larger grounds (including a reception location).
-
-
The staff will transport older or infirm guests down to the wedding
site via a four-wheel drive vehicle.
The Haiku area is on the north side of the island (about 25 minutes
from the airport) and it is therefore a site much more likely
to receive rain. But the wedding site now has a nice permanent awning
structure to protect your guests as well as a remote-controlled
removable awning over the wedding
party in the event of sudden rain. (They can move it out
automatically, even in the middle of your ceremony).-
-
The wedding site area now is composed of a nice
deck the goes right up to the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean
in one direction and the pond/waterfall to the left. This site has
definitely improved over the years.
A cottage is available in which the bride and groom may change.
If you want a secluded wedding, this water fall site might be
just right for you. There is a fee for this site.
For the best photographic lighting, weddings should take place
near mid-day. As you can see the
site is right on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
- The Maui
Prince Waterfall
-
- The Maui Prince has a beautiful man made
waterfall located inside their resort building. The hotel actually
stretches all the way around the falls, so it will inevitably
be in your pictures and video. The falls is also large and somewhat
noisy so that it will definitely be heard in the background of
your video (which is no problem for our videographer). If your
party is more than just one or two people you will need to get
married on the grass further away from the falls.
-
-

-
- When you rent this site, you can also
use the rest of the grounds at the Maui Prince for photography.
And of course, you can also have champagne for your wedding at
this private site.

- Remote Water
Falls
-
- There are many great water falls on Maui.
Unfortunately, almost all are on the rainy sides of the island
(north and east) or are difficult to reach (up in the West Maui
mountains or on the northern shoulder of the Haleakala volcano). If you have your heart set on a great waterfalls,
you might want to consider flying to a remote site. (NOTE: This
service is currently unavailable at this time).
